As a visionary artist, activist, and entrepreneur, Welmo Romero Joseph has achieved significant milestones in promoting Afro-Caribbean identity and social justice through the arts. He founded Negroporvenir, Inc., a social enterprise dedicated to using art as a transformative tool for change and empowerment. Welmo's artistic work spans multiple disciplines, including music, poetry, and theater, and has received widespread recognition for elevating Afro-descendant voices and fostering cultural pride.
Yamilin Rivera Santiago brings extensive experience in communications, artist management, event production, strategic planning, and project management to her role as co-founder. She is in charge of management and is a key collaborator with Negroporvenir, Inc. Rivera-Santiago has played a pivotal role in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities through effective storytelling, advocacy campaigns, and leadership in social impact projects, among other things. She has also spent 20+ years in the entertainment industry.
